Ramadan Special

Diet Studio conducted “One Day Ramadan Special Workshop” on 31 st March, 2022. The Holy month of Ramadan is practice of self-discipline, self-control & sympathy for needy. These fasting hours may help in weight maintenance, control of cholesterol & blood pressure. Overindulgence in Sehri & Iftar can be cause of gain in weight.

It was conducted by Trainer/Lecturer/Internationally renowned Chef Sir Usama Asghar, guides the participants related to food intake in suhoor & iftar. Total 10 recipes were cooked including Main Courses, Snacks, Desserts and Healthy Drinks.

Guidelines like stay hydrated by consuming plenty of water & hydrating foods like watermelon, cucumber, tomato etc. Avoid drinks like tea, fizzy drinks, cola, and coffee etc. In suhoor, slow- energy releasing foods should be consumed to last through the fasting hours. Fruits, vegetables, chickpeas, lentils, beans, unsalted nuts, olives, salmon are wholesome meals providing enough energy to last till iftar. Energy levels can be replenished by balanced iftar like dates, vegetables, whole grains, grilled meat & avoiding processed, fried food (i.e. high in sugar or fat). This Ramadan, by choosing right diet, one can stay healthy while fasting.
